Interesting stuff I saw online, Mar. 5 to Mar. 16
Here’s some of the stuff I thought was interesting while stomping through the Internet from Mar. 5 through Mar. 16:
- Content Bridges: With Switch Flipped, PI Tests the Regional Aggregation Model – We've all got a front-row seats now. The PI flipped the switch, wholly and irreversibly. Tuesday: Mainly print (in revenue), with some online. Wednesday: a web creature, wholly digital. Or should we say Holy Digital!
- 10 Ways Newspapers are Using Social Media to Save the Industry – Bless Mashable for mentioning MySTLtoday! "For newspapers, that channel can increase the chances of survival in a market where commoditized information has diminished the value of individual brands. Here are ten ways newspapers are using social media to save the industry."
- 10 ways to measure social media success – Really great thoughts about why to use social media and what to measure. Especially liked: "Traffic: This is one of the more obvious ways of measuring social media. Remember that quality often beats quantity, though not always (as many CPM-focused publishers will surely testify)." And, I also liked this: "Remember that an engaged customer is a highly valuable one."
- The Life and Times of A Twitter Link – Interesting blog item about how fleeting the tweet is — and how the impact diminishes within about five minutes of posting.
